Meet our young professionals

I joined BRAC’s social innovation lab as a young professional back in 2012. The young professionals programme is the best thing that happened to my career. It not only broadened my horizon of knowledge about development but also introduced me to the reality of people living in poverty, their needs and designing solutions to address those needs. The programme shaped me as a leader and opened many doors of opportunities for my future.

Meet our young professionals

My journey in BRAC from a young professional and then as a researcher has been exceptional. The year-long training helped me understand the realities of my own country that I had been sheltered from for most of my life. It also enabled me to understand my strengths. The experience contributed to securing my position as an Ausaid Scholar. Today I am an acknowledged researcher with published peer-reviewed journals, BRAC monographs and working papers and the owner of a successful startup name Alkanada that promotes local handlooms.
